Fighting poverty and inequality

Please join our annual event to raise funds to purchase health and educational materials such as uniforms, hygiene pads and stationery in support of our hostel for disadvantaged girls in Ethiopia. Enjoy a great day out, keep fit and support a great cause.

The Ride

A 7 mile (12km) circular route across Walthamstow, Leyton and Hackney Marshes into the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park before returning home. The route is on cycle paths and is suitable for all ages and abilities.

The Walk

A 4-mile walk around Walthamstow Wetlands, Europe’s largest urban wetlands. You will visit the locally listed Engine House and Grade II- listed Coppermill Tower to enjoy sweeping views of the capital.

AHEAD is UK-based charity initiating and supporting projects aimed at combating poverty and inequalities in health, education and development in Ethiopia. The charity also addresses the needs of disadvantaged members of society in London through advice, guidance and training.
