AHEAD is holding a social event to raise funds to build on the success of it’s first girl’s hostel in Shakisso town which has helped address the needs of destitute girls from the local countryside. AHEAD and our partner UDA have provided them with secure accommodation allowing them to attend the town’s secondary school without the need to pay expensive rent which they would otherwise be unable to afford. The aim of this event is to raise funds for a second hostel.

Happy New Year to all our supporters. We are happy to update everyone on Elfneh’s visit to Ethiopia during December 2017. It was an extremely busy but productive visit and has galvanised the organisation to push ahead with the completion of our hostel project and continue to support higher education in the country and local projects in the UK.
We are already planning initiatives for this year. Please visit the website over the next few weeks for updates on these.
A short video can be viewed here of Elfneh’s visit.
Early June saw AHEAD hold their annual sponsored Bike Ride and Walk. It was a beautiful day and the event was enjoyed by all.
To relive the event and sample the atmosphere of the day we have compiled some videos that we hope will reflect the fun we had, but also encourage all who would like to help and take part in AHEAD’s objectives, to sign-up for next year’s event.
